A Newton Abbot based crew visited a popular local holiday park on a crisp February morning to perform a variety of line marking tasks.
is a family run business that has been established for over forty years with the park boasting a heated indoor pool, gym, sauna and steam room complex.
Working on behalf of GWD, a local consulting engineer firm who designed the new layout to improve site safety and customer service, our team quickly set to work planning out how to deliver the work safely within this busy environment.
A new pedestrian crossing was created in two parts, allowing safety first for pedestrians, motorists and our own crew members. The same method was used for the give way markings and triangles required on the road junctions.
A marked walkway with appropriate symbols was added along with some refreshed yellow line markings for DDA disabled car parking spaces close to the reception entrance and some other miscellaneous lines to mark out check-in area parking.
To the rear of the main complex, a plan to make the most from the limited available space was provided by the consulting engineers, ready for the LMS Highways crew to turn into reality. The space now features a loading area, a hatched 'no parking' area plus four parking spaces. As you can see from the photo, suppliers to the company are still getting used to the new parking arrangements!
Lines and symbols were created using a mix of white and yellow thermoplastic.
With the team benefitting from the beautiful Devon weather, the work was undertaken safely and successfully over the course of one day with disruption being kept to a minimum for customers and staff alike.
