Lining and HFS in Paignton
More Recent Work
Scattered over a number of months we worked as a subcontractor on a major link road traffic calming project in Paignton, South Devon.
A number of skilled crews have attended the site at different times of the day and night, calling on our wide range of different techniques and expertise.
We have delivered the following:
High Friction Surfacing - also known as HFS or Anti-Skid Surfacing which increases safety and reduces accident rates in a variety of situations. For the required areas of new and reinstatement within the project we used Cold Safetrack HW MMA Scratch Coat, Cold Safetrack HW MMA buff coloured calcined Bauxite at 1-3mm in size and Cold Safetrack HW MMA resin.
Line Marking - Hot and cold applied road markings via screed or our high-performance extruder. For this we have used both white and yellow thermoplastic paint for a multitude of markings:
Footpaths and walking man symbols
Cycle lanes and symbols
Road studs - Pedestrian delineation road studs are non-reflective and are used to indicate a controlled or non-controlled pedestrian crossing area. We used stainless steel studs and W/W stick-on studs.
The team recently worked on behalf of a major contractor to provide line markings for a hospice in Winsley. Dorothy House, near Bath and Bradford-on-Avon, offers palliative care to patients and support for their families.
Working on behalf of a major contractor, one of our South West based car park marking crews were despatched to Wiltshire to provide a large variety of car park line markings for a major UK technology company.
